Established in 1991 by David Grainger and Janice Stone. The Guild of Automotive Restorers is a world-renowned facility involved with the repair, restoration and sales of classic and antique cars. It is also the home of the world broadcast television series Restoration Garage, now in its fourth season. The Guild has been featured on various other TV shows, on radio and in print. Jay Leno also featured The Guild's work on Leno's Garage.
In 2013, The Guild's Bugatti Aerolithe won the International Historic Motor Vehicle of the Year. Other classics we have restored have shown with great success at varied Concours shows across North America including the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. One of our restorations also took a top award at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2015 in Italy. We have also had the great pleasure of displaying our restorations at major art museums and of course been featured twice at special shows in the Middle East. Of course, these accomplishments aside. The Guild is very pleased to work on cars that it deems more important to the hobby, the cars driven by enthusiasts for ice cream on a warm summer evening, cars that are old family retainers, cars that are the realization of dreams and cars that are just plain fun.
The Guild is located in the town of Bradford, about 45 minutes north of Toronto, and is open to the public. You can visit its large showroom, which due to the demand has become more of a workshop than a showroom. Visitors can see projects currently worked on by the Guild's amazingly talented staff.
We also have a collection of automotive gift items, which include, Guild Swag, die-cast model cars, gas pumps, nostalgia, car related antiques souvenirs and many curiosities. Come in and find something for the car lover in your family or take a trip down memory lane.
