According to the original factory service booklet, this 912 was first sold by Chick Iverson Inc. (Porsche dealer) in Newport Beach, California to the first owner Kim A Oviatt on June 22, 1967. Originally finished in Irish Green (color code 6606) over Black leatherette interior. Original equipment from the factory includes rubber buffers for the bumperettes front and back, chrome-plated wheels, hub caps with Porsche crest, and Semperit 165-15 tires.
This is an older restoration, and the exterior color was changed to Grey metallic, the paintwork is in good condition, and it is a great driver. The exterior features bumperettes, original glass and is complemented by chrome and aluminum trim. The upholstery is in good condition and features an original VDM steering wheel with a deluxe horn ring, after-market radio, and VDO green instrumentation with chrome bezels. The 5.5” x 15” Fuch alloy wheels are fitted to Continental 185 60 R 15 tires. The undercarriage features the original floor pans that are nicely detailed, and a new front suspension pan has been installed along with a new fuel tank.
Powered by the matching 1600cc flat-four engine (type 616/36) producing 100 hp which runs phenomenal with a 4-speed manual transmission (type 902/0) and four-wheel disc braking system. Complete with Kardex, owner's manual, service book, spare tire, and jack. The 912s are the value play in the vintage Porsche market. They have the character of a late model 356 and are far more fun to drive on curvy roads than an early 911. If you have been looking for a good matching drive line 912, this is ready to enjoy.
