A restoration of this 1971 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 was carried out in 2014, with lots of custom modifications carried out. These include custom exhaust, LED indicators, bladed front bumpers, twin 34 carburettors, alarm and immobiliser, non-standard steering wheel, rear light flipped, custom satin and matt black paint, Porsche Fuchs alloys, tinted rear windows, lowered at the front by two inches, CD player in glovebox and speakers on the back shelf. After its rebuild, the car was largely in storage for 10 years, albeit MoT-tested in December 2022. The items it failed on have now been rectified, we're told, although as an historic vehicle, the Beetle will no longer require annual testing. The VW was registered in January 1971 and has six registered keepers on its V5C. Its odometer shows 67,766 miles and it runs and drives.
Paperwork includes the V5C, assorted pre-restoration invoices back to the 1990s (including one for a new engine in October 1997) and assorted MoT certificates back to 1995.
