This is a very special vehicle indeed, it was purchased from ETYPE-UK who carried out some very nice enhanced performance upgrades, and inform me to carry out a full nut and bolt restoration not to mention the performance enhancements to this level of excellence would now cost in the region of £200k plus the cost of a car purchase.
This full matching numbers car with heritage certificate has just completed a ground-up full nut and bolt restoration (let the photos do the talking) currently finished in primrose yellow, with a factory hardtop in black and a fully re-trimmed interior by marque specialists. This example is truly the definition of a no expense spared restoration plus additions of a full engine strip down and rebuild at £15k. A full back axle rebuild, all rebuilt hubs and replacement of all necessary and suspect ancillaries plus E-TYPE UK upgrades including fuel injection, 5-speed gearbox(amazing), uprated aluminium radiator and header tank,Samco sports silicone hoses, full tubular stainless sports exhaust with all the original parts taken off carefully packaged supplied with the car.
These Engines being notoriously difficult to tune and suffering fuel evaporation,E-TYPE UK have used the fuel injected system fitted to the later xjs but refined, upgraded and leveraging a modern ECU to relieve these issues. Although the owner didn't stop there on commissioning further reliability upgrades.
