Hilton & Moss are delighted to bring this fantastic Jaguar E-Type S1 3.8 OTS restoration project to the market. This vehicle is available for sale only as part of a restoration contract. We are looking for the next keeper to continue the journey with Hilton & Moss returning this Jaguar back to its former glory.
This beautiful E-Type is a desirable early 3.8 model first delivered to Jaguar Cars, New York in July 1962. Although now finished in an older British Racing Green respray this Jaguar left the factory finished in the ever so elegant Opalescent Silver Blue with a black leather interior.
After residing in the dry state of California this Jaguar is incredibly rust free and provides the perfect base for a restoration. Due to receiving very little major restoration work during its 60-year life this E-Type is incredibly original and entirely complete with all removed parts currently documented and stored by our team. This Jaguar is a fully matching numbers example which includes the chassis number, body number, engine block number, gearbox and rarely, being an early example, the engine cylinder head.
This cars originality makes this E-Type the perfect base for a concours quality, collectors level restoration but equally the car can be restored to a customers exact personal specification from exterior colour to leather, soft top colour, carpets and the mechanical performance.
The team at Hilton & Moss complete our restorations in-house from the paint and body work to the interior retrim. This allows us to have overarching control over the work and quality of every aspect of our projects.
This E-Type is available for immediate viewings at our Bishops Stortford showroom and restoration facility. Project costings are entirely based on individual customers specification and the restoration value can be split monthly across the project duration. Our team are available to answer any detailed restoration questions about the process, finishes or the project as a whole. More images are available upon request.
