1967 Jaguar E-type 4.2 series 1 FHC in its factory original paint colour of Willow Green with Tan interior trim.
Matching numbers, on Dutch EU registration, comes with a Heritage Certificate.
This Jaguar E-type was produced on the 30th of June 1967 and dispatched on the 12th of July 1967 through Jaguar Cars New York to its first owner, William J Gilespie, USA. The car was last road registered in California in 2010. In 2018 it was imported into The Netherlands when E-type Center bought it for personal use.
An extremely rare and original late series 1 Jaguar E-type FHC in a unique, rare and retro period colour. Already wearing the open headlights and easyclean wheels, as a predecessor for the later to come series 1,5 E-types. Full original bodywork that has never been restored or repaired, completely rust free with only the floor pans replaced because they had dents of previously jacking the car up in the wrong place. Full original interior trim in extremely good condition. Only once outside resprayed in the USA in the past.
A complete and comprehensive €25.000,- mechanical service was performed to get the car in ultimately reliable and perfectly running and driving condition. In order to participate in future preservation class concourses the car was fitted with period correct Pirelli Cinturato tires, black rubber battery and the mild steel exhaust was repaired instead of replaced with a stainless steel example. The only extras fitted to the car are a main battery switch and a modern electric cooling fan. Furthermore the car remains complete and charmingly original and has a lovely patina showing its beautiful authenticity now combined with a perfect mechanical condition.
Still in its factory original paint colour, originally equipped with a hazard warning light control, tinted glass and comes with its original Californian black plates (ZXU 770).
